[Analysis Case] Nonlinear Transient Analysis of Brake Rotors

Introducing the excessive stress analysis of automotive disc brake rotating rotors!

We would like to introduce the "Nonlinear Transient Analysis of Brake Rotors" conducted by our company. The coupling of thermal and structural analysis is necessary due to the heat transfer that occurs when the rotating rotor and the pad come into contact. Friction generates heat, leading to uneven thermal expansion and resulting in stress. In this case, we completely constrained the nodes around the holes of the rotating rotor and performed thermal stress analysis by applying heat flux and heat transfer coefficients to the inner and outer surfaces of the rotating rotor, as well as heat transfer coefficients to the surfaces of the fins and hats. [Analysis Overview] - Completely constrained the nodes around the holes of the rotating rotor - Applied heat flux and heat transfer coefficients to the inner and outer surfaces of the rotating rotor, as well as heat transfer coefficients to the surfaces of the fins and hats *For detailed information about this case, please refer to the related links. Structural Stress Analysis Software 'PAM-MEDYSA'

Modeling the operating mechanism of the machine as is! A new proposal for dynamic mechanism stress analysis!

"PAM-MEDYSA" is a finite element method structural analysis program that uses a dynamic explicit method. By modeling the operating mechanism of machinery as it is, it is possible to verify the feasibility, strength, and durability of mechanical components. With the concept of "solving moving objects as they are," it allows for real-time analysis of the deformation and stress of components in an operating state. 【Features】 ■ Real-time calculation of contact problems between components, analyzing the deformation and stress state of each part ■ Enables the elucidation of various phenomena associated with the operation of machinery ■ Provides smooth contact to achieve seamless interaction between curved surfaces ■ Calculates considering factors such as velocity dependence and contact pressure dependence as a friction model ■ By adopting the total Lagrangian approach, it accurately reproduces rigid body motion in space *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.
